This is a training role within the Children and Young People’ Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP IAPT). The post-holder will work within Young Somerset as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering, under supervision, high-quality; outcome-informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing, mild to moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties.  The training and service experience will equip the post holder with the necessary knowledge, attitude and capabilities to operate effectively within the wider service.

As part of the role the post holder will complete a Graduate/Post Graduate certificate in Psychological Therapies Practice (low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy for children, young people and families) at Exeter University 

The post holder will attend all university based taught and self-study days required by the education provider, as specified within the agreed curriculum and work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills.

Your employment terms and conditions with Young Somerset will remain the same throughout the duration of this contract.

The aim is that these roles will be established across the organisation
