The Rural Music Project Tour programme is Young Somerset project that has been running since 2017. This is an experiential music development program, that supports up and coming new musicians, raises the profile of up and coming new music and bridges the gap between young musicians and the music industry.

Now in its second year the project has grown from its initial one gig launch to a 3 month long tour that takes some of the best new young up and coming new music from Somerset to eight different music venues across the region such as Moles, The Fleece, The Cobblestones and Cheese and Grain. The Growth of the Rural Music Network has allowed the project to partner up with the Latter which is where it is based permanently, operating from the brand new Bert Jansch Studio.

Along with giving young music a chance to play at venues across Somerset and Bristol the Tour Programme allows each of Music acts the chance to review, develop and improve there act through rehearsal and development sessions which it runs at the Bert Jansch Studio. Each music act is also then given 2 days worth of free studio time allowing them to record some of their owns song which they can then release to the public and send to Promoters, Venues and labels.

With the last tour taking place in between October and December last year it saw eight different music acts play at venues such as Komedia, Cheese and Grain, The Fleece and Moles to name a few.

Now with the 3rd tour about to start on March 20th at Pilton Village Hall and Working Men’s Club the Rural Music Network welcomes a new line up of new young up and coming music acts who are all ready to hit the stage. The new Music acts featuring on the March – June tour are:
