We have an exciting opportunity within our Community Wellbeing Team at Young Somerset. In line with the governments drive to increase access to early intervention for mental health services, Young Somerset is commissioned by the Somerset CCG to deliver early intervention Wellbeing and Mental Health services across the county. 

As a Community Wellbeing Link Worker (CWLW) you will be experienced in working with children and young people. This role is to support our Community Wellbeing Practitioners support children and young people (5–18 years old) with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, particularly relating to anxiety, depression and behavioural difficulties. As a CWLW you will help to triage our Requests for Support, provide pre and post non-clinical intervention support for children, young people and families, manage the waiting list and provide administration support to the team.   

As a CWLW you will liaise with CWPs and a range of agencies including GPs, Education and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and be an integral part to the smooth running of the service. 

This post of CWLW opens the opportunity, not compulsory to train as an CWP (dependent on eligibility and availability).  

We are currently working and delivering services virtually and face to face across Somerset.  

This post will mainly be based in Sedgemoor, Somerset West and Taunton. Please note travel across the whole geographical county of Somerset may be required at times.

Salary: £20,149
