Young Somerset is seeking to recruit a Work Based Learning Manager to provide leadership and management for our Work-based learning services including curriculum development along with oversight and line management of Job Coaches, Functional Skills Teacher quality assurance of City and Guilds accreditation. This role will also be key in developing our Work Base learning offer across the county including our growing our Supported Internship and new employability programs that we develop via grant funding.

The role will be based predominately based at our Bold and Brave shop and café in Taunton to begin with but will require county-wide travel to seek and develop new opportunities to grow our work-based learning and accreditation offer.  

We would love to hear from people who have experience of leadership, quality assurance of accredited programmes and curriculum design and development which delivers positive outcomes for young people that impact their employability, independence, health and social skills.

This role is predominately based in Taunton but will require some countywide travel as the service grows.

Salary: £37,548 - £39,920 

Hours: 37 hours per week

Holiday entitlement is 27 days, plus 8 Bank Holidays (pro rata for part time staff), with an additional 5 days after 5 years’ service (pro rata for part time staff)

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: 1st December 2024

Closing Date: 12pm - Friday 27th September 2024
