We are Ed and Sam, and we work as Wellbeing Practitioners for Children and Young People

We generally support young people aged 8-19 with their mental health. You don’t need a diagnosis or even be sure that you have a difficulty to get in touch – but you may be finding it difficult to cope with unhelpful thoughts and feelings. We can help you work out what to do next.

WHAT?


We work with you to find out what’s going on for you, what you want support with and how. We are trained in cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT) for a range of mental health difficulties, and use these to help you. We can also provide over-the phone and guided self-help support. We don’t diagnose mental health difficulties but can give you information on what seems to be the problem if you’d find it helpful – if you decide you don’t want the support we offer or we can’t provide the right support for you, we can suggest alternatives and help you find what’s right for you.

WHERE?


We try to be flexible to your needs and adapt depending on where you want to meet. It can be at our Wellbeing Room (Unit 2 Suprema Estate, Edington, TA7 9BF), your home, at school, at one of our youth centres, a GP’s surgery, our office or even out and about in the Somerset countryside. Appointments over the phone or the internet are fine too! Although we try to work to your needs, we’ll also have to work together to find a place that suits us both.

WHEN?


We are also flexible on time, we can decide together when’s best for you. Our sessions generally last between 15 minutes to an hour and from 4 to 8 sessions.
