At Young Somerset, we have Wellbeing Practitioners (community and school based) who are trained in Low-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (LI-CBT) for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
The practitioners use practical methods, tools and techniques, to help the young person learn ways of coping with anxiety, low mood and phobias. You may be offered support in a group or 1:1.
Wellbeing Practitioners can work with individuals/groups to provide interventions in cases of…

If you are looking for support for the above, counselling may be better suited at this time. Counselling provides a space to process your feelings and allows you to reflect on things which have happened in the past.
For issues with bullying, we recommend that you speak to your school or college.Low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (LI-CBT) requires a commitment on the part of the young person to engage, complete the practice tasks and attend every session for the therapy to be successful. Therapy should usually be completed within a 6-8 week time frame.
